Hi, thanks for dropping by!

Hi everyone, my name is Amy.  My husband (whom in a shout out to the legendary Jeanne Robertson – I’ll call “Left-Brain” or “LB” for now) and I are just starting on our traveling journey.  We are both 60-somethings (ok, my bad, LB is very late 50s) and I wanted a way to be able to remember and share the minute details of the incredible experiences we have.  So, one thing led to another, and 2 Goats on the Road came to fruition.   Welcome!

On 2 Goats on the Road, we will share the good and bad, what works and what doesn’t, and the funny stories which are an integral part of our travel experiences.  We will seek hidden gems, local specialties, off-the-beaten-track experiences, and jaw-dropping natural scenery. Our blog is not about professional travel photographs as all photos/videos are shot with our phones. Our blog is not about world-class dining and high-end experiences.  LB and I are your normal (?) run-of-the-mill people and our journeys reflect that.  Our experiences reflect what we can afford, safety, our interests, and most of all, FUN!

We were lucky enough in our earlier lives to live as “snowbirds” now.  We spilt our time between Buffalo, WY, and Mesa, AZ.  We both still work (me part-time, LB more than full-time) but our jobs are such that we can work remotely from anywhere for the most part. Most of our traveling occurs during the winter months when we are in AZ as it is much easier to fly from a major metropolitan area than a rural town in NE Wyoming.

Our traveling experiences include domestic (as in the best camping spot in the Big Horn National Forest) and international (as in a 14-day cruise around the tip of South America) and much, much more.  We believe everyone who visits our site will find something of interest.

There is a big, beautiful, exciting world to explore…Let’s go!
